dropped carabiner

when it comes to climbing,i am still wet behind the ears,not like most of you awesome experts,who have been doing it for years:blushing:

sounds like a stupid question,but when i was topping a large fir,yesterday!

i dropped a biner,watched it fall through the branches and it had a softish landing:001_huh:

should i now bin it or will it be OK

BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

Hi Mate

 

Just check the lock still works and that there is not crack on it. Without seeing it I wouldn't like to say it should be fine. If your unsure put it aside until your next LOLER equipment check.

Kara-bin it! It will always play on your mind now you've thought about it and for £14 its easier to move on and treat yourself to a new shiney one. :001_cool:

Im sure it wouldnt have hurt it unless in fell on concrete but its not worth having it in the back of you mind every time you lean back and load it. :thumbup1:
