I can only reccomend a single cab cabstar, once bought two as they provided the best unladen wieght, and have just canceled an order of Transits that someone had built up to 3.25t with all kit and crew on board...:001_rolleyes:

i would have cabstars over transits or anything come to that, but being 6foot 10inch and 22.5 stone the jap trucks dont suit me. Also they are horrible if you are doing lots of miles and the dog needs more room than a cabstar can offer

i heard on the grape vine them iveco dailys are very light ,should make you a nice power full truck ,not bad on duce either:thumbup:

Next you're gonna tell me you know where there is one:001_rolleyes:

Cheers for that, I know the three way tippers are heavy, but do you know what the chassis cab weighs without the body or any manufacturers dimensions are?

Mmmm, not real sure about the cabstar, not a big fan of having my face only 2 feet behind the front of the vehicle.

I have crunched a few in my time and I like a bit more steel infront of me if Im honest!

Thats where I may have a problem, my LDV single cab with chip box, and integrated toolbox is 2240kgs all empty.

There aint many frills on it but its still very light, as is Rupe's and his has much more gizmos on it.

So how much lighter are the tranny single cabs, anyone know?

I woul dbuy a cabstar tomorrow if I had an extra employee who needed a run around that could also be used for chips/logs etc. But as a main vehicle to carry a crew and kit, there is no way.
