Has anyone come across this term before.

I have recently heard it in conversation relating to veteran hedgerow trees.

I can not find any reference to it in either Peterkin or Rackham, and whilst on the blower earlier today, not even Helen Read could shed any light on the subject.

Any ideas fellas?

FRIENDS WITH HELEN READ WELL WELL YOU DO KEEP GOOD COMPANY:001_cool:

Friends is a tad bit strong, Helen is chief ecologist at Burnham Beeches. One of our Sister sites.

The phone call was work related (Ref; to our potential involvement in repollarding some of their Beeches)

Is it not the minuets for the house of Commons?

Yeah, found reference to this inregards to the minutes.

Think in that context, it is derived from French.
