Beg your pardon Mr Butler - I think it is you who is ignorant in trying to belittle people for not fully understanding, because they have never been taught or believe in what you do!

 

I don't think it is good practice to call people "ignorant" because they have a different view or follow a different religion to yourself.

 

You could do well to keep your opinions to yourself unless asked!

 

WeeDee in his post first used the word ignorant...the meaning of this word is a lack of understanding or education off the full facts, weedee himself said that he was iignorant to the bible...ie he haddent fully read or understood the bible...i then offerd to help explaine it to him.

 

I was in no way suggesting WeeDee is a "igmorant" person in the way that it has been in intrerpreted,,,i hop no offence was caused to weedee..

But I still can't seem to separate the 'good' bits of the Bible from the bits that condone slavery, murdering offspring etc.

 

I, in my ignorance, presumed Biblical teachings had to be followed, wholesale, or not at all. I'm now led to believe that we can pick and choose.

seeing as your the fountain of all biblical knowledge could you explain the incarnation of Christ - that is to say.....the historical and finite existence of an infinite deity in human form?

 

basically, how is it possible for the temporal and the eternal to co-exist?

For me it hinges around faith (beliving in somthing we cant understand) The bible teaches without faith it is imposable to please God
