i guess it doesnt allow for sleek lines etc - the wiki link is awesome! the potential for this technology is immense! we are seeing improvements in the growing of biomass. Adavnces in Bamboo and such....I wonder if the Finish guys have plans for building they would sell. A landy word be perfect or any thing with a V6 or V8 if it could be converted would be awesome - i just wonder how long it would take for the gov to ruin it - i use to swap fire wood for bio diesel when i live on the canals. It was a peferect deal a few hours chopping and wheel borrowing wood down the towpath and i'd get my fuel for a week or two, but then the goverment made it so it was virtualy impossible for the bio diesel plant to operate even at cost as by the time they had finished it was the same cost as pump diesel - and i noticed how all of a sudden cars and vans would no longer run on the stuff....

From my research for the easiest setup you need a manually adjusted distributer to adjust the time of ignition (gas burns slower than petrol) and also not too large a capacity engine of a lower compression. EFI can be used but you need to use something like megasquirt to get it to run properly. Im building a V8 90 atm with a 3.5 V8 on carbs and in time I may have a go at building a gas setup.

There is lots of information out there, as even the UN funded research in the 90s and produced a booklet and plans on how to convert a vehicle using everyday items in the case of a national disaster. I have a link to a copy somewhere. I can post it when I find it if anyones interested?
