set the alarm for 6am so i didn't miss any of it, missed the alarm and woke at 7am:blushing:, the camera was in the car so i didn't bother taking any pics as they would be misted up, just been out with the camera and scope to the top of the nearest hill, right next to the local observatory and snapped a couple of shots, i just held the camera to the scope :001_smile:

Awesome pics. the moon still looks good tonight, shame my camera is broke...but here is a little trick for ya - the moon right now is massive isnt it?! so get a piece of paper and cut a holw big enough to see the moon through it when you hold it at arms length. Keep your moon spieing paper some where safe - then in a few months when the moon is full but high and tiny again take the piece of paper and hold it up at arms lenght and look at the moon and you will see how much it has shrunk.......

thanks for the heads up on this Judge, although you had me set my radio alarm clock for 6am and then the lady on the news said that the total eclipse would take place at 7.40am! Thanks for that :001_tongue:

sorry should have been more precise, the eclipse started at 6.30 but was not full until 7.40:001_tt2:

saw the first half hour until i got over windy hill then lost the moon behind cloud and missed all the rest:thumbdown:

great pic, guess i have to wait till june for the next one
