Defender battery?

Went and picked up a starter repair kit from Cannock. The guy was really helpful and if it works then it was a tenner well spent.

His shop is on Ebay: repairkitsuk.

He thought that if I can get the truck up on high ramps then the job can be done without removing the starter motor itself but wasn't sure if that applied to a Discovery and not a Defender.

Sorted the starter motor out today using the kit bought off Ebay from repairkitsuk.Had to jump the battery to kick start the truck battery so will see if there is any seepage from the battery before replacing.

So thats one problem solved............

.........Now the new problem is that the key is stuck in the ignition barrel!
