Coming back up the M25 from Crawley today and there was an 'incident' between jcn 8 Reigate and jcn 9 Leatherhead.

When we got there, there was a couple of chaps shovelling woodchip off the hard shoulder onto a transit pick-up. There was also some woodchip on the carriage way.

According to the highways website the 'incident' was an overturned vehicle (or trailer)!!

So...

Anyone on here have a little mis-hap today?? (If so, hope they are ok!)

Not guilty - honest guv'nor. Couldn't they have spread over the three lane ice rink pm? If it was anything like the side roads every bit of grip would have helped. I was finding ever more ambitious routes round Warlingham and Woldingham that didn't have pirouettiing 2-wheel drive estates on them. Muppets!

Hi, al can ask you about your avatar ? I like the pic and have seen it before and often wondered what happened .

I was asked to do an emergency job on a fallen tree in the river by a grounds maintenance company that had a contract for a pub chain.

The job was near Southampton, so too far to go and look at first.... it's ok they said its not very big:confused1:

Got down there and the tree had fallen from the bank on the otherside of the river.

All I could do was put on my wellies, waterproof trousers which I taped up round the wellies with insulating tape to keep me dry.

Did it hell... the trousers sprung a leak!

Luckily it was during the summer and the water was surprisingly warm. I was in there for about 4 hours in all, and the pub looked after us handsomely with hot drinks and burgers afterwards:thumbup1:

Here are some more photos from the job:
