Rope guides and rescue ?

was thinking today whilst climbing using my ART rope guide what the guidelines are for rescuing a casualty from the tree on one system that is funning from a rope guide . does anyone have any info on this regarding the use of ny kind of friction saver or rope guide for rescue .

The SWL must be greater than two person, which it will be with a ropeguid and all friction savers so ni worries.

 

Lets say the ropeguide is rated at 24Kn (I dont have the figures to hand but that would be about right!!! ) using a 10:1 safety margin gives you a SWL of 240kgs, well thats two people easily.

You planning on doing a bit of aerial rescue Dave???

 

 

I must get over to yours ASAP to sort that truck out. Feel pretty bad about that, but I havent had a moment spare for ages.....looks like I may have a couple of days soon though. Ill call you mate.

ha ha , na not planning anything mate but in the middle of reviewing our RA's etc . as for the lorry its no probs . hows tricks with you ?
