I wonder whether the timber is being used to produce logs. Just asking because our local Hetas stove supplier is selling Jotul logs in cardboard boxes approx 12 logs in a box for £6.00. I thought I was in for a deal selling local logs until he told me the cost of the boxes including Vat was £2.50.

 

So 50p is vat. We could make £4 just stocking the stuff no wonder the uk is going down the pan. By the time blokes have had their maternity pay, sick pay holiday pay, done the metod statement, risk assement, fire risk assement, had the lunch break, tea break and had a couple of dumps we have no chance of competeing with that.

All the stuff at the site I visited was being chipped and burned on site for electricity / heat generation.
