I had an 8 wheeler on trunks of sweet chestnut 20 years ago, ringed it up splits beautiful- looks great

Delivered all to my best customer, big house into a deep cellar

Had to replace it all luckily didnt have to throw out of cellar

Spits all over antique carpet

knew there was something missing,got the fire guard,now need a chimney to go with it:001_tt2:

'Course, what I didn't mention was the fully tested smoke alarm, and the 3 nasty little burn holes in the front room carpet. :blushing:

I brought a load of sweet chestnut before i knew much about burning wood the guy said it would be ok in a burner what he didnt say was it wasnt seasoned and would explode when i opened the door got burns all over the carpet I burn about 25 cube a winter now but never get spitting all well seasoned mixed hardwoods
