The above is no comparison im my opinion to clarks, the secret is how easily it rolls the log onto its back, the above looks like it would make it harder by adding on the T piece below.

I havent managed to do a review due to the weather but next week i am doing a lot of limes on a driveway where the Clarks one will come into its own as i am going to have to do a lot of logging on a driveway.

There is also a version from Northern Tool (11902E) for £24.99 + VAT although not sure how strong compared to the interesting Clark version. It will hold 254mm log stem.

personally wouldn't touch northern tool ever again

they did the dirty on me several years ago

delivered a broken heater which we only discovered over 24hrs later as it had been delivered to the farmers barn.

They refused point blank to offer a replacement or refund as they said their terms and conditions required us to notify them within 24hrs.

Absolutely...........

Sorry..... just reminded me of them!

I am not familiar with Northern Tools' log lifting product, so am unable to pass any comments on previous posts. I am sure they make a decent enough product. But, really, this is a product launch thread for our Log Jack, so I'd be obliged if we could keep the discussions running around that theme please and we don't get sidelined onto another topic :001_smile:

The Clark Log Jack is quite unique in it's design and the manufacture is of our usual high standard. We use high strength alloy steels and the hook is specially hardened. Log Jack has been out on test for a number of weeks now and we have refined the design to offer the optimum tool for cutting logs up off the ground.

I look forward to hearing how Stevie gets on next week testing it to destruction

p.s. Weather permitting, we will be putting together a Log Jack video next week, so will post on here as soon as it is edited.
