hi. i use hand pruners (by-pass loppers) quite a lot for reducing + trimming edges on leylandi hedges . just wondering if there are any purpose made scabbards available to carry pruners on harness or to attach to mewp basket or hedging ladder. thanks

not sure about scabbards but you could just drill a hole in the handle and thread some thin cord through, and attach that to either your harness or mewp railings. Might become a nuisance though as it might get caught on branches etc

butcher up a 15" bar cover, just cut down the edges until the ends reach the bottom and the handles will keep it jammed, loppers can be very dangerous, if you catch yourself with the jaws open it can be nasty, heard of a lad who swung his arm back and caught his bicep.

yes . they can be dangerous if not tied closed and can give a nasty dig if swinging from harness uncovered. im thinking of akind of pruner pod to hang on harness. wondered if there was any such thing available on shelf. (utility co a bit anal about homemade gear)
