General Tree pics

Took some photos a couple of weeks ago of a fungus I found growing on the upper limbs of a heavily and annually topped Oak. I cut a few of the limbs along with fungi and stuck them in the cupboards on the truck just to show the powers that be. I ended up forgetting about them for a couple of weeks until I pulled one of the logs out to show a work colleague. Looks like the fungus has had field day.

sweet shots taupo:thumbup1:

Its pycnoporus, a relative of cinnabarinus that i cant remember the name (species) cos its the NZ OZ version.

Looks similar to the result when you take pictures with a fish eye lense Ian. You wanna explain photo colour, photo merge and HTR HDR for those of us that haven't a clue what you're talking about? :001_tt2:

Ok, Just putting my geek suit on.

Photocolour = Basically colouring through the black and white to leave what you want in RGB colour.

Photomerge = Multiple shots taken the edited through each layer to create a sequence of events.

(see my profile picture albums on here):thumbup1:

HDR High Dynamic Range imaging = Messing with the images core properties by using burn, light, overlay, colour layers to give a different picture effect.

Mainly used for landscape shots to remove the saturation of the WB white balance.

Oh the 395 picture was taken with a fisheye lens.

Hope this explains somethings. Now i've got to take this geek outfit off I'm cooking.

I've been being a little bit arty with my pictures recently, 1st photo colour then photo merge NOW HTR! (which takes forever!)

Do you use photoshop Ian? i used to be a regular user and love the capabilities of CS4 but don't really have the time to mess about with it anymore
