Yup, in the heart of Rusholme. Which made finding unusual Himalayan shrubs even more surprising.

 

He also had this, which came from Muncaster in the Lakes, where my brother works.

Its a Rhododendron, not quite sure of the species, but it is a Himalayan species, not a garden hybrid type. The leaves have a thick furry layer of indumentum on the back.

Nothing fancy, just a few pics from a beautiful, harmless red oak I had to euthanize 'cuz they were scared that it was gonna kill them. At this point I had more than half the tree done.

 

It was a fine old tree. :sad:

I'd be more worried about what possibly lurking behind the Ivy on the Tree behind :scared1:
