when things go bad!

This was one of four trucks I ran we had in the mid 90's but this one ended quick. The driver, Barry Pollard (now at ENS) was indicating right and just started the move and the Corsa following decided to try to overtake, and pushed him into the ditch. No injuries but another infuriating insurance mess!

This was my single cab 130 pickup that I got used from Landrover Special Vehicles. Came around a corner one day to find a Disco and horsebox on my side of the road. Choices - house on left, horse box ahead or Disco on right. The Disco driver insisted it was my fault until I sent photographs of skid marks and road position etc. Another insurance nightmare to be dealt with. The truck is still at large locally with another tree surgeon.

This photo was taken in the late 80's at an APF - possibly at Trentham Gardens? The digger driver was showing of his attachment and it tipped over - right in front of a marshall!

I used to drool from a distance over that 130 everytime you bought it up to Eddies, Pete, you have some great pics, do you have any of your mog or of Ed's big International working when you had a chipper on it?

This happened when i was driving down a narrow road the bloke coming the outer way saw me and panicked locked up and crashed into me head on. damage on pic doesent look to bad but the wheel got pushed back and the chassis was bent slightly so insurance wrote truck off.

 

im just glad i wasn't in the car that hit me the driver had to climb out the drivers door to get out.

I reckon I have Mat, in another shoebox in the loft, I'll look for them when the kids come at the weekend. Do you see the 130 running about Hathern with Harley?

This is our discovery after having an altercation with a Nissan x-trail. It cost us £100 to get it fixed. It cost the X-trail owner £1500 as his car buckled up to the drivers door. I hope this link works.

Yes! two of my mates used to work for Harley after I left Eddies, infact one of them was another JL George employ that swapped spanners for sawdust! Didn't Harley also have your old high sided transit? the Landy I still see most weeks.

Harley had them 'M' reg with the high sides but that got scrapped some years ago although he kept the tipping body I believe. Did you have a hand in the body on the 4x4 Iveco tipper and the 'P' reg Transit tipper we had Eddie do? What about the Bedford Mk 4x4 that's slowly rusting in piece?
