Something similar to the myhammer site? I joined that but it was so much hassle trying to get verified. They wouldn't accept my bank statement as proof of address as I'd blacked out all my important numbers. Even though they didn't need them!

I've not hears of rated people. I don't really like those sites as anybody can quote! I was seeing people with builders certs and no relevant nptc qualifications quoting silly money for jobs!

Have you ever used it? Has anyone you know used it? i always ask myself these questions and if the answer is no then i stay clear, these sites promise you the world but i doubt if they deliver.

Its just someone else trying to get your hard earned money for little return.

Funnily enough we used it by getting a quote for building work from a "firm" who amazingly turned up on TV`s "cowboy builders" after he quoted what turned out to be a crazily high price for totally sub standard work! :o

Therefore I/We have zero confidence in using "ratedpeople.com" as any cowboy can join no matter what their standard of "work" is.

(1st Call Conversions Ltd was? based @

Unit 3,Beeston Royd Ind. Est.,Geldard Road

Leeds - AVOID AT ALL COSTS should you require ABSOLUTELY ANY building work done!)
