so i am going to make a log splitter , what do people think is good with the machines they have. and what do i need to stay away from. pics also pls:>

Mine cost me 450 quid on ebay from a firm called harrows are us,its got a fast cycle its well made,it could however do with a bigger splitting wedge 8 inches long instead of 4,and the plate you rest your logs on could do with being atleast a foot bigger,other than that it splits any thing and represents good value for money.

Put some long pipes on it so you can use with a saw bench on same tractor, if thats the sort of thing you want to achieve? Big table like others have said. Mine has a guard on the side you stand as wel, had a couple split in a hurry that wacked against it!!
