Husqvarna ear defenders with built in radio

I have an ipod shuffle clipped to one of the straps on the inside of my helmet. And I have fitted some headphones to the inside of each ear defender (proper ear phones, not the little things that you stick in your ears).

My ear defenders are Sordin's.They do look as if they would fit but it would mean chopping the cable out of the head band and hoping they would go on instead of my peltors (on a Vertex Vent). Not too happy chopping £160 quids worth up. Will have a look at cheaper ones to bastardise. BTW FM radio dont work here so thats not an option. Anyway I want to hear the birdies sing when im not sawing!

When im out of radio reception i have a FM transmitter for my MP3 player, Works great.

 

I got all my Peltors from Ebay the Alerts were under £40 delivered BNIB.

Just bought a set of the new husky helmet mount radio muffs to replace an old pair of Sordin ones - first impressions seem pretty good and they seem to seal to your head better too. Liking the option to plug mp3 player into it too.
