When I did my chainsaw course I drank gallons of water - so my advice is take gallons of water!

of course i know how to dress for the weather!! that wasnt really the question. what i meant was is there anythin that shouldnt be worn, i wouldnt want to wear anythin that would be deemed inapproriate, ie thick trousers or thick jacket that, combined with a chainsaw jacket or trousers would make me look like the michelin man and would cramp all my movement! havin not worn chainsaw protective stuff before i didnt know if it was lightweight or clumpy!! but now i do know!

 

Then you'll be fine whatever you wear. You can't pass or fail for innapropriate clothing unless its a safety risk. Go in fancy dress, suit and tie, whatever you like.

 

Seriously though, you have already said they are providing trousers, so yours are coming off and theirs are going on, so it doesn't matter what yours are. You got boots so thats good, then your top half is suitable for the weather of the day, thats it really. Its not something you should be worrying about too much. If your jacket is too thick you will be allowed to take it off, and if it gets chilly you can put it on agian, take layers of clothing and you'll be fine.

 

Enjoy the course, don't worry about the minor stuff!
