Shame I got the focus a little out, but nice compression of the fibers there, hence the shot.

Whilst on the job, in another tree I spotted another defect over the kids play area, pointed it out & the client had me remove it, was not too obvious to the eye.

Kaboom. Right across a sunken bridleway too. Hung up a little bit across the track but will be attempting this monster with the big boss i recon. Brought down by a fairly small gust and a severe case of Honey fungus.:thumbup:

an old oak pollard that had been storm damaged in 1987, re-grew a canopy but succumbed to the weekends blow.

 

Laetiporus brown rot in the trunk.

 

Looks like the house pretty much got away without too much damage.
