I hate it when you say to a customer your busy and may be a few weeks, then they ring you up and say they have found someone who can do it in a few days!! isnt that telling them something??

I got called about a job tonight and i plan to do it tomorrow, what does that tell you about me? Or should i say, ' what can you invent in your head to satisfy your own beliefs '

For small domestic hedge cutting jobs I always advise that they will probably get it done far cheaper by a local odd job gardener. I only offer the service as I have the means of doing it. Only hedge jobs I have are pretty much full day jobs that would take a gardener 3 days.

That tells me that you were planning on having the day off work to split logs up at yard, told the customer that you would come at short notice as you always like try and keep everyone happy.

How did I do?

Got a hedge job tomorrow, the home owner fell off the ladder a couple of years ago and broke his back and has since had a gardener do it. He wants it cut and for one reason or another the garderer cant do it, so asked me to quote which was more expensive but still got the job.

My over heads are still the same if im doing hedges or trees so i dont see why i should go out any cheeper for hedges. a day for two or three of us needs to earn an certain amonut what ever.

Do you price a day for two guys cheeper hedge cuttiong than a day tree cutting?
