I was looking at a Jappa 300be at the weald woodfair on sat;

13hp petrol engine and pto point.

chainsaw cutter

6ton

2/4 way splitter

folding conveyor

retails at £7,735.

Does anyone have any pointers?are there better machines?

Indeed, just after some first hand experience from somebody that owns one.

I like the pto aswell as the petrol engine on the Farmi I think it was actually..

I can't make it to the Apf tommer.

Our neighbour bought a japa 300 a few yrs ago, its crap! hardly done anything and now its falling apart, the bar is lubricated by hydrulic oil which is stupid, the bar just wears out in no time. Plus when you get a knotty bit it jams up, only about 5 ton split (more like 2) not impressed with this machine. you dont get alot for your money.

We have a Posch, now thats a real machine!

The one that I was looking at used the hydraulic oil to lube the chain as well,presumably the hydraulic oil is cheaper.

I was wondering about the effect on the bar without the non-fling properties of regular chain oil.
