Hiring in a mill?

I'm a firewood and tree harvesting guy really so want a bit of advice from the milling forum.

I am looking at building a cart-lodge style, car port, (hope you understand what I am going on about). I would like to make it out of western red ceder and would like to source the timber myself which is not a problem, and then get someone in with an Alaskan type mill to cut all the posts, cross members and roof joists, and also the strips which I will then cut with my cross cut saw to make some ceder shingles for the roof.

Am i totally leaning against an open door by trying to do the above or is it a perfectly sensible idea, and how much would it cost to get someone in with a mill on a day rate.

Your help and comments would be greatly appreciated.

:confused1:
