my mate lives in canada and is bringin back a load of machines in shiping containers he said you can buy stihl chainsaws for nearly half the price he said if i wanted to he would buy them and ship them for me is there any difference in the uk stihls and canada stihls?

I think there might be some issue with them not being CE marked or having the appropriate stickers, if someone ever got injured with the saw you could be in trouble - seem to remember hearing this about imported Husqvarna saws a while ago.

there wont be much different. the regular catalogue we see over here is available to all of europe. they just dont bother importing items and just say "its not available"

 

thats why there was such a backlog of the timbersports merchandise!
