.......Knocked me flat on my back

 

Splitting a ring with a bit of ripple at the top when it exploded and sent me flying.

 

Luckily I was pressed up against the wood so it pushed me back, if I'd not have been touching it I reckon it would have broke my hip.

 

I've split a lot of timber and thats the first time thats happened

I was splitting some old barn stored ash rings, and the same happend apart from the split log flew side ways taking out my customer straight in the guts who was watching, he went in after that!:001_tt2: Seems to happen with really dry hard wood!

You know me mate 3's have nothing to do with it, bad luck just comes my way whatever :001_smile:

 

Looking at the weather Andy, staying in bed might be an option :biggrin:

that sucks man :thumbdown:

 

thats a thor splitter is it not? we have a horizontal one and often when we have the cross splitting head on and splitting knotty pieces, they can fly straight up at some speed, never wanted to get hit by it
