If you set out to drive in a style likely to net such results, you will get them. 54 mpg is not realistic as most people don't do 0-38 mph in 2 minutes.

Steve your best to take evidence from people using the Rodeo in a more conventional way, not trying to break records for marketing purposes.

You'd get 35 no probs , 55 is stretching it imo, I think Rodeos are a top little truck, my mate just bought a new one, you just can't go wrong with Jap trucks!

I think you would get better fuel economy from the new Ranger.

Not sure which I'd rather drive though.

Ford.. and thats after owning several , including brand new transits...

Hi Steve, after a conversation, here are our findings on the Rodeo

Boss has 3L diesel.

On a run involving duel carriageways etc, he can get 25-30mpg. Running around on a quotes day he was getting around 20mpg. Towing our 3 ton grinder it drops to 15 mpg. Because he tows such a large bit of plant about ,he felt the 2.5 was too gutless. His disco and his defender were both better in all these respects. I dont want to get into the old landy v's japs debate as I own neither. I hope these figures are helpful.
