Personally I think the HMRC should hold thier hands up and absorb the mistake internally with budget cuts rather than looking to get the defficite back from tax payers.

 

I mean, honestly, who the hell do the people that run this country think they are.... its nothing these days but insult after insult. We're too soft as a society... we might as well be living as a communist state, or should I say we are living in a communist state.

I have no read the article but have seen the headline and i met up for a drink with a mate and he metioned it basicly im employed if I owe 1500 quid like my mate reckons ill laugh in there face and go to jail no tax me as geting nothing from me if im employeed a typical big corperate scandal that happens everyone day and no one wants to accept responsibility for...

I got a rebate/tax adjustment on my last tax bill from the revenue, i'll be interested if they come knocking on my door and if so how(as a soletrader) they'll try and reclaim it.

Not a chance they'll get a penny from me!!

 

I've spent a fortune this year on buying kit so my tax bill will be pretty low I hope!

 

I just cant believe they can make such a cock up.... its one thing after another with this country and our governments.... useless the lot of them. :thumbdown:

But ive only paid tax for two months ive earnt to little to pay it since:001_rolleyes: but they would not get a penny out of me being self empoyed or not its there cock up they deal with it if i made a cock up in my firm i wouldnt ask the customers to pay the cuseqences(?) would I
