The ? was refering to shot numbers 20 & 21, the really tall group of Coprinus looking ones. :confused1:

 

 

 

 

The purple jelly (shots 22 & 23) I've got down as the imperfect stage of Ascocoryne sarcoides

thought i'd seen some similar fungals :)

 

 

 

Simple really, just either put me or Hama on your ignore list & then you won't see any doubling up anymore :sneaky2::lol:

 

 

 

I think the point you make affirms the fact that fungal communities can be generally very localised in type, habitat, timing & conditions.

Interesting, im going into my references now to see why i have it in my head as neo var folicaea! but those fruit bodies you show do develop into the jelly discs, imperfect? or just imature?:confused1:

 

Darn fungi, darn references, darn taxonomists!:lol:

By the way Monkey D, your photography is getting to be quite amazing, all sharp - loads of DOF, focused and composed with a real talent. Just thought I'd say as its nice to be appreciated:thumbup1:

 

I like the ones that you get with the flippy out screen thingy on the G11, real useful tool that.
