2nd mill arrived yesterday. Job is only a couple of weeks off 13 mature trees to fell. I will post pics of the job as the milling goes along.

 

 

Away at moment but I saw the sale go through on the website.

 

I'm doing the bracing kit as a standard thing now to go with the Alaskan 48" and 56". It helps make sure everything stays square.

 

Good luck with the job Ian - maybe book a physio session for just after :001_tongue::biggrin:

The plan is staged milling periods between two mills so we don't have tonnes of stuff to do all at once. :thumbup:

OK,

 

Sites been felled and we started milling. Part of the new mill broke i assume from vibration? But were nw milling more posts for the house extension/ easier to sell on. Still doing some as planks but milling posts of 6X6 should half the milling time. There are so many photos of the job heres a link Target Trees's Photos - Mature tree felling & Milling | Facebook

Cheers cutter1, try to keep as many photo job logs as i can.

 

So the site is pretty much finished just logs to move, 3hrs milling left at a guess a lot of sawdust and clearing up. Hope to be finished by tomorrow?? or Monday...

 

least all that saw dust and rubbish can go straight on the fire, that can be one of rickys 1000jobs to do tomorow :lol:
