Was invited to lead a workshop on Fungi & Veteran Trees to a group of inner city 10 year olds today.

 

First time into an open space like this for most of these children.

 

They were a captive audience & suitably enthused. :thumbup1:

Good post David, makes my shananigans this weekend seem paultry!

 

Don't be daft soft lad, what you do enthuses many, many people.

Get yourself more in with the BMS and take what you've got in to the schools.

The curriculum is crying out for it :thumbup1:

 

nice one David must be realy rewarding feeling showing the children around the woods that never have the chance:thumbup1:

 

 

For sure Ben,

 

I get a buzz from being in the woods with my own kids, but to help inspire children that just don't normally get the opportunity is very very rewarding indeed. I had a great feeling afterwards, I'm lucky to have such a flexible job. :001_smile:

 

We even got some of the older group from Monday as well as some of the kids from yesterday off terra firma :thumbup:

sorry, as impressive as that is, xerxes is always going to be long distance dedicated champ of the fung hunters!:lol:

 

I am glad you felt it was a worthwhile journey, wish you had come on sunday too!

Would've if my missus hadn't been camping, but i was with the kids sunday and they've got to come first:biggrin:

 

And Xerxes rules coming all the way over from sweden, don't think i could justify that amount of travel at the moment..... but one day:thumbup:
