its funny this thread is on here tonight ,i have been chipping loral all day and i have a bumping head ache ,and i think it may be from that ,was in the back of the tipper moving it around with the fork .

Crykey - lucky to be alive then? Ive been chipping away for the weekend just gone. Just as well it had been stack piled for a few months beforehand.

Have to admit i didnt notice any side effects myself.

 

I'll try it with fresh stuff next weekend and see if the experience differs.

 

With regards to Cyanide ive heard of people dying from apple pips they had saved and chewed up in one go, mad stuff. Must try mulching up some castor beans next.

There's a famous case of a chap in prison that had a laurel growing outside his window. He managed to extract the cyanide from the leaves and poisoned the guards before making his escape. I can't remember the full details but it's something along those lines. Try standing in the back of a chip bin full of freshly chipped camphor laurel. Sorts out blocked noses instantly.
