This is the Ankerwyke yew which has been dated at around 2500 years old. It is not far from Windsor on an old estate and sight of an old priory. Some great old trees here but nothing compared to this beauty. To be in its presence just reflecting, feeling its wood, sitting beneath it is a priveledge . If anybody is around the area at any time then it is a must see.:thumbup:

That's a pretty amazing tree. I found a website a while ago that had a list of all the champion trees in the UK and had some of the ancient yew trees. Each one was spectacular in it's own right.

 

 

Where's mr Blair, that's a good candidate for a stunt fell! :lol:
