A variety of finds from down in Kent on the way to & back from the trade show.

Firstly Ganoderma resinceum on Beech, which is the first time I've witnessed these species together. (1-4)

Again G. resinaceum, this time on Oak.

Tony & I came across this one last year

Last years fruiting shown first (5-7)

Collybia fusipes on both a stump & neighbouring standing trunk of Oak (8-11)

Nice one david, i never went back that way and glad you did.

I never noticed the man hole in the resi oak scene before! root issues no doubt started there. also interesting to see the blackening of the sapwood/xylem in the colybia colonised stump, thats a good image.

did you ever find that Oak too?

..quintessentially English scene, at least in my mind:thumbup1:

totaly! Ye olde village green scenario:thumbup: there was so many field/grazing scenario veteran oaks we wanted to have a look see, time was not with us on this occasion. always next year, I will take an extra day next time.

and for anyone else who fancies a worthwhile visit when down next year especially if you come down with wife/family. Try to take in Knole house and grounds, you will not be disinterested.:thumbup1:

We'll try and get a 'quintessentially' English pint or three at a pub overlooking something similar, when you make it over
