seems fitting, to post these here, really interesting body language too, sorbus obviously has a tough time with I. hispidus, this ones a bit early, a very odd fungal year.]

 

Nice shots.

 

Only ever really seen hispidus on Sorbus in urban contexts like your road one or in parks. Don't recall seeing the combination in woodland environment.

Indeed as have I, in fact here two side by side, and only serves to prove of the detrimental effects of urbanisation on tree stocks, urea, and other polution,damage etc

I've been driving past this plane on a fairly regular basis for years. Although it's been covered in ivy for ages I knew there was something of note lurking underneath.

 

Guess it was right place right time today, when not only the amazing biomechanics have been unearthered but also the fung that was obviously waiting for me to go past :biggrin:
