anyone know if it is of any value? whats is worth ? on a job atm which has a decent amount of the stuff

Good for carving and the such but spits like MAD if you burn it and its not dried right through. Where is it at?

chesnut is one of the most valuable woods out there fencing supplies love the stuff you can make some real good monney if you make the fencing supplies your self.

 

Certainly not something you want to go and burn or carv pretty stuff with.

 

There is loads of the stuff around specially in the south east i dont see why more people dont get into it its a skill but once learnt yoour there and you can then make some goood monnney

Cutting Sweet Chestnut coppice is a bit specialised, I know people who have lost money attempting it.

East Sussex Forestry do a coppice efficiency course.
