That picker in the last pic is mounted on a volvo,

but we have got a new beavertail Daf for the tracked mewp.

cheers mate, we have been going 14 years, but the family has been in forestry/treework for 3 generations

Just wondering why they wanted them lower than previous pollards since those trees looked quite good.

yeah i agree but because it is national trust property with a cafe and tea garden below they got abit twitchy about it, and their forestry advisor told them to take them lower. Just a case of not wanting to get sued if a bit falls out and kills someone, red tape, beaurocracy, health and safety, etc, etc...
