I've been on a few sites where dumper drivers collect copper from spare wire. one guy claimed to have mede 3k doing it.

 

back to the topic that seems a bit bizzare

My mate in York said theres been a recent spate of cars getting their catalysts sawn off at night!

Apparantly theres some heavy metal in them that makes them valuable - first he heard about it was when the local exhaust place offered a discount if they could keep the old cat when you bought a new one.

I Heard the other week of a spate of defenders being nicked.

 

I Have spent my hard earned cash today and had trackers fitted to my land rover's..........

 

I love my landys and wouldnt want them to vanish without a trace.:wave:

I,ve got 500m of 16mm square copper wire I've started stripping and I've another few hundred weight to strip.

 

Made a little tool and managed to strip 300m so far.

 

Should be in for a tidy sum, 3 hundred weight is about 6 or 7 hundred quid ??
