Mate of mine linked me to this guys videos, was bit young when it was around but been watching them and can't help but feel like I missed out on some amazing motorsport history with Group B Rallying.

yep, bit before I got into rallying as well, but I have seen metro 6r4's running up close as well as a 205 T16, scary scary stuff never managed to blag a ride in one yet though

 

 

scariest car I have been is a renault megane F2 kit car from back in the day

I always knew rally drivers were nuts but those spectators were fooking crazy. Just like the public when you're trying to dismanle trees in town centres.

Best years of rallying , possibly ! I was fortunate enough to have been spectating and marshalling during grp 4 and B still can catch some of this if you are lucky at, goodwood festival , ‘ race retro’ in march 2011 or ‘slowly sideways’ put them into search and hopefully get to see some action!!

I was always a huuuuuuuuuge Ragnotti fan, The Clio Maxi was awesome for me I bought a road going track Clio Williams about 2 and half years ago, it was awesome, one day ill have another

Saw all the cars in action at Donington park and Sutton park in what used to be the RAC Rally back in the day Awesome is the only word to describe it

Quality thread and defo a golden era, I was there through the transition from the old generation to the group b era, a neighbour of old used to own an Ari Vatenan ex works mk2 escort, sadly i made do with a self built replica mk1 works escort as my first car. ah the memories
