Great pics monkeyd & Hannah, must have smelt amazing.

 

Quite agree. Loving the pics of the chestnut and beech with the holes and twists in them Dave from last year, and the bluebells from both years are amazing. I must take a trip to the woods i was in a few weeks back. The bluebells wer only just starting to flower, but the floor was carpeted with them. :001_smile:

Took a trip to a local woods today, that I've been meaning to visit for a good while.

 

Northaw Great Wood

 

Mainly Hornbeam pollard/Oak/Swetchestnut coppice.

 

Welwyn Hatfield: Northaw Great Wood

 

The lads loved it, and the wife got a few hours to her self, win win :thumbup1:

Firstly, big up the monkey for making sure his nips get the full on woodland experiance, rather than the play station alternative!

 

Second, wicked shot of mr woody woodpecker!

 

Lovin spidey, is that piptoporus betulinus he is sitting on? new common name arachnids saddle! lol

 

and nice shot of M. aurantia! spotted the peniophora quercina!

Boys are still quite young really, but I'm driven to make it more interesting for them to interact with whats out and about than in the confines of their bedrooms.

 

The whoops of delight when they come across something and holla dad, dad, look fungis !! makes me think It's getting through to them :001_smile:

 

 

Razor strop it is, did ya like the candle snuff under the Psuedotrametes?
