No problem with that at all, I was just reading the thread and thought I was going mad until I realised - I definietly am....................

 

I don't know whether it would be easy to do but some sites have a swear filter on them, would this make your lives easier?

Typing is not as impulsive as swearing.

 

A simple filter is the mind.

 

We can all cuss and swear but I moderate my own behaviour to suit the situation.

Someone's been told "replace them" and has forgotten how quickly costs escalate with size, and is scared to do something sensible because they'll be responsible for it.

 

Why Europaea? Do they *want* to drip honeydew on cars?

 

What's wrong with 7-8m? They'll grow back in a few years.

just a quick update,

 

firstly, there was NO swearing in the post..i'd edited it myself with the usual "££$$%&*

thanks anyway

 

secondly, had a site meeting today with the chap who was giving it all the big arm waving, "we'll be doing this, that, and what ever".

 

when i showed him the quote from civic trees ( £9k+ per tree) he nearly had a coronary...."i'm sure i saw some on the internet at £500 each" was all he could splutter.

i think he was expecting me to throw a couple at a time on the back of the pikey bus, and me and my mate to dig em in with spades !!!!!!

 

i'll not hold my breath for the order..although i did ofer to find more reasonably priced trees......lol

 

they have to be Europeae to match the others in the row
