climbing set ups

my kit is bog standard has any one got some interesting set ups to show me i am thinking of moving on with the times hitch climber or something:thumbup:

hitch climbers a great step foward although can take some getting used to, around a week id guess. benifits are more ergonimical climbing, smoother decents, faster climbing too

 

have you got a ropeguide? its a cambium saver, which has a pulley for the rope to go over, eliminating almost all friction, well worth trying

use a rope guide primus arbormaster 13mm line hitch climber VT hitch (alright ). looking to get a lock jack for reduction work.

 

You have to make sure the VT has gripped before letting go as it can get stuck under the krab.

 

I had ago on the old style prussik how far we have come lol.

 

But the above kit aint cheap but imo worth it your arms will love you again

Is that by art no not yet at the moment only basic stuff i had a petzl grillion once that was cool but i sold a lot of kit a while ago apart from that i have been on the basic kit for the last 10 years

although if you clip onto the middle ring with the spliced end thn it holds the rope just out of the way of the hitch......most of the time....

it does howevr, become second nature to just give it a quick grab with youre hand, you dont need to even look:001_smile:
