Evening guys

whats the score with getting a road closed ? the road in question is rural single track road.

police are forever closing it through accidents that they have left there closure signs at the entrance ready for the next victim. just dont want it to be a tree surgeon, me.

ive got 4 biggggg beech trees overhanging the road that have been tagged for removal

no this road is probably used by no more than 100 veichles a day as a cut through from one village to the next you (that secret road that only you and a select have knoledge of)

Speak to the Police and the local council, if there's an alternative route and the trees need removing they can get the traffic diverted unless access is absolutely necessary...

speak to your local highways department ,you will be required to give a minimum of 4 weeks notice , you should have an approved diversion route, a sinage plan for the route . you must have advance closure warning signs up for a minimum of 7 days prior to the road being closed . your highways department can help you with this BUT it will have a ost attached to it , this varties from betwene £150.00-£400 depending on how much of it you can do your self , i tend to do all of it my self and only liase with highways and the cost is kept to a minimum BUT you have to have the cerst to be able to do this .
