ive just reinstalled quickbooks on my new mac, and went to transfer my account files over from the pc, however i get a message saying that i need to update to the latest version of quickbooks first. the version on my old computer has had various internet updates which is why the files are different.

unfortunately intuit no longer supports quickbooks 5 so i cant get the updates from them. is there anyway of accessing the updates from the old computer? i wondered about transferring the files over from the pc in the hope they would overwrite the files on the mac when i drag them in. is this likely to work or is there another way i can get round this?

Coping the entire folder should do the trick (well it works with some pc stuff:001_smile:)and as long as you have your personal files backed up you can always just reinstall QB if it doesnt work.

TBH I would be surprised if you couldnt get the updates from an archive somewhere.
