Just ask for 2 calibration certs and a copy of training cert for the policeman to prove hes eligable to use the hand held device. Plus you have 10% allowance on speed. Also if the copper was parked illegally and you can prove this that will also help.

There are several places I know of where there are two or more speed cameras quite close together. I have sometimes wondered whether if you were to drive past two cameras in close succession at (say) 80 in a 60 limit without at anytime reducing speed, have you committed one offence or two?

I reckon one, since the offence is exceeding the speed limit (which you have only done once) and not passing the camera at an excessive speed. Purely hypothetical, but it would be interesting to know if anyone's tried this as a defence.

its 2!!! my mate got done coming out of preston twice on the same journey and lost her licence.

It is 2 offences, but points issued in the same 24hr period for separate offences count as 3 for totting up, so you can in theory have more than 12 and not get banned. Thats from my solicitor who defended me against something similar last year
