Am thinking of getting my first chipper and am considering the 18/100.

Just after any ones exsperence with it.

I dont think im too bothered about chipping over 4" as i sell logs and anything of that sort of size ill be keeping for logs.

Oversly the hydraulic chipper versions are better? but starting out is it worth me spending the extra money?

Look at the Wee Chipper Club thread and go from there. I have the Greenmech CS100 and its the best thing I have ever bought, hired a TW before I bought the Greenmech and it was pants in comparison.

Where in the country are you?

just out of interest from your user name, is it for use in arb or woodland work? i run the older entec version and its good for what it is but it doesn't like forks in the branches so every thing has to be cut pretty straight, and in fairness its the smaller bushy stuff thats more of a problem if i can get hold of a decent bit of stem i will feed in ok, but sharp blades are a must!
