no, cos we'll shoot the rabbits along with the foxs. What you mean to say is watch the gloden plover and the oyster catches and the English partridge and the lap wings and the curlew numbers grow all of which are not in abundance:thumbdown::thumbup:

:congrats:

That is not what I mean to say at all so dont try and put words in my mouth.

You just carry on in you're own sad way.

That was the reaction i expected

How can you applaud that. Mans attitude towards animals will always be the same until there is nothing left to kill except their beloved Pheasants.

Don't have many pheasants either, but you never know one day we might have:thumbup:

Sympathetic predator control alongside habitat management will always help our once common birds.

Take a look at a well-keepered grouse moor compared to one run by the RSPB.

When the RSPB trap mink to protect the bitten its called conservation management.

when a gamekeeper traps stoats to protect ground nesting birds its called unessassary killing of poor little creatures that were destined for a leading role in the next disney production:thumbup:

So whats the the score ? Do you see me as some sort of animal rights campaigner that doesn't kill anything ?

no, not at all i dont care what your views are. i just find them blinkered. In your part of the world you obviously have lots of bunnies and the wildlife is in abundance. We are not so lucky, due to over grasing and a lack of habitat management we have have lots of vermin and not a lot of anything else. This is why we are actively trying to increase habitat through the introduction of SSSI's and ESA's and along with a small amount vermin control we are now starting to see a turn around.

Ive seen this report before. Im just not sure that anything will ever really be achieved with Natural England at the helm, there bureaucracy and form filling tends to put land manages and owners off, this along with government cut backs may well see a workable idea shelved:thumbdown:
