I dont know what you lot are on about.......toptoolsman, get a loop strop, make a figure of eight out of it and step into it. There you go, harness in one. Bit of blue polyprop rope and you're away lol.

 

 

It sounds to me (being serious now) that you could do ALOT worse than subbying in a pro climber/ arborist for climbing jobs. The risks you are running (legally/ HSE etc) in the (hopefully unlikely) event of serious accident arent worth it.
