Bought the crates from Abergavenny Saw Mills! They are 1 ton potato boxes and managed to get them at £50 a piece. Have been selling them by the crate not by the cubic meter. Was told that they were just under 2 cubic meters. Hope this helps all the best!

I think you may need cu metre vented bags from bag supplies. Stacked 5 high with handle to tip out. If you buy potatoe boxes will take forever to get your investment back and you will need to double handle them out. Bags are £2.80 and you can reuse especially if kept in barn out of sun.

Steve - where do you get your vented m3 bags from? Last time I looked around the cheapest I could find was £4.80 a bag for m3 vented and £1,40 for a builders bag.

Dave - you could try these guys Bulkbag Containers Ltd. Gent there is called Hamish (01382 823824) who is very helpful and they don’t have a large minimum order quantity that others apply. They were £4.80 when I ordered 2 months ago, about 30p more if you have them sign written.

I have a contact near me who bought them last oct he does a 1000 tonnes a year so probably bought a large quantity. I have one as a sample in the shed. Will ring him if you like. perhaps if you get together and put a large order in to get the discount
