i havent used that saw but if you want a all day good saw i would recommend a stihl ms260, i have one and it has worked very well for me so far it. but it does not have as much power as the stihl ms290.

i have a 2003 ms290 and its still going strong, its a bit underpowered but keep it razorsharp and its good for most stuff, you wouldnt want a bar longer than 16inch on it and it doesnt cut fast on big stuff but for sitting next to chipper for nipping branches up its perfect.:thumbup1:

Don't do it!

The MS290 is a HORRIBLE saw with very poor power to weight ratio.

Go for a 341...

I have to agree, The 290 is awful.

Like John says, The 341 is a decent saw, Although if i had to buy Stihl, Id get a 361 as it could handle a slightly bigger bar No worries and its light enough to use all day, Every day :thumbup1:

Ditto; didn't mention the 361 as assumed the number of £notes available was 290 territory!

Good stuff, Not used a 362 yet but it will be far far superior to the 290 mate, You wont regret it :thumbup1:

OR get a Husky 365 :thumbup::biggrin:
